Cooper's Rock Mountain Lion Sanctuary wanted to expand by adding new enclosures across Cougar Run, the creek that babbles its way across the sanctuary. But, realistically, they needed a bridge to handle the construction traffic. Thankfully, March-Westin, an engineering and construction company, stepped up to the plate and donated the bridge! The sanctuary -- and, no doubt, Carrie as well -- is extremely grateful for this act of kindness. March-Westin built the Cougar Run Bridge in the winter of 2001, just in time for the sanctuary to raise The Hillside for Carrie's permanent home.
