Cooper's Rock Mountain Lion Sanctuary volunteers built the Emergency Enclosure in a single day of July 1999 to provide an immediate home for Mariah. It was a 16-foot by 32-foot enclosure with a wood frame and wire walls. It also included a block weather shelter. The sanctuary moved Mariah to the Original Enclosure in August 2002. This enclosure has since been torn down to make way for a more modern enclosure in the future.
